Staff were welcoming, rooms were cosy, location was unbeatable, we loved everything. Within walking distance to john hancock center and 500 meters away from 360 Chicago. It was really close to Lake Michigan. Good for shopping
-
Great location, very clean.
Small, welcoming lobby.
Awkward room plan—closet in bathroom area.
-
I liked the help that I received from the staff whether it was in printing out my boarding card or cutting the lock on my suitcase after I had lost the key.
-
The room was a good size for one person and decorated in a lovely way, It was handy to the Chicago River where I joined my college alum friends for a river tour and fireworks. The transportation back and forth was efficient. The staff at the hotel and in Ditkas were friendly and competent. The food was very tasty. The quick walk to Water Tower place for shopping the next morning was a pleasure. I hope to visit you again for an overnight stay in Chicago.

The room rate, location, room and lobby appointments, and charm of the hotel.
I had booked a king room, but was given a queen. The room was nice and had a good location within the hotel, so I chose not to question it. However, at check out, I asked if the room rates were the same, and had difficulty making the desk assistant understanding I was DOWNgraded instead of UPgraded. A hotel employee other than the desk assistant with whom I was conversing finally told me the rates were the same. Are they?

The location was wonderful! You have Michigan Ave/Mag Mile down the block. The hotel had a charming old feel to it and the food at Ditka's Restaurant was amazing! Once again, I must stress: location, location, location.

Great location. A grand old hotel right in the heart of Chicago. The roo ms are well maintained, updated, and clean.
-
Great location, good mix of character and quality. Friendly and helpful staff.
-
The Tremont is perfectly situated between Michigan and Rush for dining and shopping.
The bathroom was missing some tile, the sink bowl was cracked, there isn't a coffee only option, just a buffet
-
Nice small hotel. Excellent location, walking distance from major attractions
Small rooms a litle bit outdated

The room was spacious, and I loved the fact that there was a kitchen! It was a great feature I would want to take more advantage of if I were to stay again. I was very clean and comfy, and the bed was TO DIE FOR! I wanted to take it home with me! Plenty of pillows to snuggle up with. Loved the charm of the old building, and the view was wonderful. The shower was hot and one of the best I have had in a hotel. I would definitely stay again.
Fridge didn't appear to work (didn't get cold enough) and there were no utensils in the kitchen. I was sad there weren't more cable channels, but it was ok as I didn't have much R & R time. It was a bit noisy due to construction down the street, but thankfully I sleep like a rock.
-
Comfortable bed and room. Proximity to Mag mile. Reasonable rate and restaurant next to hotel. Friendly helpful staff.
A bit dated and older feel especially in the lobby.
-
The bed was amazing, extremely comfortable. The location was very nice. Two blocks from the Gucci store at 900 North Michigan. Can't beat the room rate ... I paid appx $75 for one night and the Hotel directly across the street was $200 plus.
Elevator feels like you are in a coffin and very slow. There are absolutely no services. One bottle of water in our room. No vending machines inside Hotel. Room service is available from an attached restaurant or an outside food delivery ... but it's going to cost you just to get something to drink. Would recommend taking a cooler with drinks, if you can fit it on the elevator. Every single door that opened and closed, just about jolted you out of the bed. Very loud. Could hear everything. Parking is a nightmare, but then again we are talking about Chicago.
